I'm not from Lincolnshire but want to use your services, so how does it work?

We currently have clients ranging from Torquay to Norway, who work with us very successfully over the internet. Many of our clients find this arrangment most useful as they have a design team on tap. We mostly use WLM/MSN* or Skype* to chat to our clients, or we use the phone or emails. Of course, you are always more than welcome to come to the studio to relay your specifications direct.

* MSN and Skype is a great way to confer and exchange files over the internet. You can download WLM/MSN or Skype from the links on our Contact Us page, it works on both Mac and PC, just follow the links, install, and in a few monents we can be talking. (Don't forget you will have to add us to you contacts list before we will pop up! Addy info below).

How much do you charge?

Our hourly rate is £20 phr. Some of our most popular items and services around our site have a set price, if you don't find an item with a price please Contact Us for a quote or more info about our hourly service.

When do I pay for your design work?

Some types of payment are required upfront but other than that, payment will be made in installments or on handover of artwork. All payment must be handed over on completion. See Terms & Conditions page for more details.

Because we operate here as a low cost service for you, we are reliant on customers paying their bills and appreciate punctuality. Simple and quick payments can be made through our online checkout. To see this service or pay your invoice see our Checkout page.

How long does design work take?

It all depends on what you want. If you have a small job for us, we can sometimes fit it in real quick and get it back to you in the same day. Mostly, it takes a few days for design work and for websites, depending if we have all the info, we can turn them round within a week. Sometimes, projects can go on for a few months, but rest assured, everything we receive is priority and we can give you very specific completion times. How does the design process work?

1. Brainstorming
The design process starts with a brainstorming session with the client and then a seperate one with the design team. With our best ideas worked out we then go on to creating some design possibilities, trying to make your product as user friendly as possible. You will be shown a variety of possible creations and be asked to either choose you desired design or add in you ideas to this arrangement and continue.

2. Designing
Once we believe we have found the optimum format for your product, we begin to create the first working draft. You will be receiving regular emails at this point, as we will be showing you how the project is coming along. We believe that this open dialogue saves a lot of time / money by eliminating mis-communications and frustrating redesigns. This also gives you the chance to be more involved and know exactly what’s going on. Even though We offer this flexibility, our clients give us total creative trust and freedom and are always content with what we produce.

3. Printing
Once the design is nearing completion, we will discuss with you more about the process of the printing and where is best to get it done. As printing prices vary so much all over the country, it is really worth shopping around. The best prices will mostly be found over the internet and there is always room to barter! It is easy to get ripped off so be careful! Just like everything else, just because something is cheap, does not mean it is good, so where possible get samples of the printers work. Who will be my main point of contact?

Antony White our Director and Head Designer is the main designer here and will be your first point of contact and will most likely carry out your job to the end. Simon, Nicky and Sue are also part of the team, they handle design, development, admin and copy-editing.

Who owns the copyright of the design work?

All artwork created is the intellectual property of Magic Beans untill the job is completed and paid for in full. See Terms & Conditions page. Details on copyrights are listed below, along with links to officially copyright your company or articles.
